Electrification of all vehicle categories

Keispelt

Demy Schandeler has already completed the first stage of the project with the electrification of its transportation vehicles: these mainly include 100% electric buses, minibuses and service cars for drivers. The company has also provided recharging stations for these vehicles at various sites. In 2019, Demy Schandeler purchased five new electric buses for public transport and installed a charging station. In 2020, four electrified school busses and two electric mini-busses were added to the vehicle parc.

For the future, the company plans to roll out the electrification of all categories of vehicles. This includes the changes anticipated as part of the reorganisation of the RGTR network. In this context, about 25 new electric busses are to be added to the company’s fleet, as well as several electric service cars for drivers. The strategic company sites are going to be developed in order to face the electrification of the fleet.

Furthermore, new sites are going to be put in place at strategic places so that the charge of the fleet is possible at any moment and with the objective of reducing considerably empty runs.
