CHARGY charging infrastructure

Infrastructure

CHARGY, the network of public charging stations for electric and plug-in hybrid cars in Luxembourg, has been operating since June 2017. Deployed in close cooperation between all the electricity distribution network managers (Creos, Ville de Diekirch, Electris, Ville d’Ettelbruck and Sudstroum), a total of 720 charging stations are planned to be installed by the end of 2022: 400 stations in public car parks in municipalities and 320 in park-and-ride facilities, thereby providing easy access to public transport. Each station features two accelerated charging points (adjustable between 3.7 kW and 22 kW depending on the car). The CHARGY network will eventually count 1,440 parking spaces dedicated to electric mobility.

The website www.chargy.lu presents all the information about the CHARGY network – a list of charging service providers, the integration of third-party stations within the system and a list of compatible stations.
