Installing charging stations and electrifying vehicle fleets

Energy supplier Sudstroum installed CHARGY public charging stations in Esch. In the context of this project, Sudstroum provides charging services to owners of electric cars and sells charging stations (with or without installation).

In order to promote the use of electric vehicles and familiarise the general public with e-car sharing, Sudstroum has moreover launched a project in cooperation with the city of Esch (seven cars on three sites). Furthermore, the company helps subsidise the Vel’OK electric bicycle fleet in Esch, managed by CIGL. This new generation of self-service electric bikes is available in nine municipalities in the south of the country.

Sudstroum is also currently in the process of electrifying its own fleet of vehicles.
